The 36th annual James River Batteau Festival was held in June, 2021 from Lynchburg to Powhatan, Virginia.
This annual journey is a recreation of the early trade route taken by the batteaux taking tobacco and other goods from Lynchburg to Richmond before there were canals and before railroads.
The scenery in the early morning as the sun rises and sometimes getting beautiful fog in the scenes. These are some of my favorite scenery and boat photos.
