Heading home on Thursday, February 25th, 2021, Jake Dog and I headed to Summersville Lake/Dam. The water is lowered during the winter and is a beautiful greenish color. The sun was beautiful with puffy clouds and the view of “Longs Point” was fantastic.
The Summersville Dam had some new pull over places with a large valve display that was real cool.
Below the dam the water was very beautiful and several Kayaker’s were seen putting in to paddle down to the lower section put-in. The water was greenish clear and the sun shining on the rapids and the sounds were awesome. Such a pretty day to visit Summersville Lake and the Gauley River.
